BWB Sweeps the Board at the ACE Awards

BWB Consulting swept the board at the 2015 ACE Engineering Excellence Awards winning two category awards plus the overall Diamond Award for "winner of winners".

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2015, the timing of this recognition for our services could not have been better!

The Awards, announced at a gala dinner at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London, celebrate and reward the very best performances of the year from across the UK consultancy and engineering community.

BWB entered 3 Project Award categories:

Award for Building Services - Joseph Leckie Academy was a finalist and, although we didn’t win, this is a great achievement for our SBS team, just two years after incorporating M&E services into our multi-disciplinary portfolio.

Award for Building Structures - Resorts World at NEC won this hotly contested category, picking up another major accolade having previously been successful in the Midlands IStructE Awards.

Award for Project Design - Gloucester Gateway Motorway Service Area scooped this prize, a ground-breaking project that sets many new standards for MSA provision, including being the first in the UK to be rated as BREEAM Excellent.  

The biggest surprise of the evening, however, came when we were awarded the ACE Diamond Award of Engineering Excellence, having been selected by the judging panel as the "winner of winners." 

The award is designed to acknowledge and celebrate the overall winner for demonstrating significant outstanding achievement and making a valuable contribution to the consultancy and engineering industry.  Judges highlighted BWB's innovative sustainable model of best practice across a range of disciplines distinguishing its business as a trailblazer in careful and sensitive design to bring the built and natural environments together.
