De-Pack Limited

De-Pack Ltd is a business which provides secure destruction and recycling of aerosols and other containers (principally paints), avoiding the use of landfill. The business removes under vacuum a high percentage of liquids and gases, and then compacts the aerosols and containers into dense briquettes which are ideal feedstock for smelters and recyclers.

How did we help?

We invested as part of a syndicate to construct the recycling plant, which was commissioned during 2005. We also introduced a Chairman to the business who was very experienced in the waste sector.

Result

The business was sold to PHS in 2007 delivering a return of circa 2.6x money or circa 70% IRR.
